About us

After about 20 years working for one of the biggest IT companies we - my husband Michael and I, Angelika - thought that there must be something else in life than working until 67 dealing with bits and bytes.

We fell in love with Cozumel the first time we were here for vacation. It's the people, it's the beautiful beaches with one of the most clearest water in the world, the weather, the food, the cultural background, diving and snorkeling, relaxing, easy living ... You cannot find another place like this in the world!

So, in 2009 we bought a casa - Casa Cocos - on this beautiful island and did everthing to come here forever ...

... With good luck we managed in 2016 to cancel our jobs and to live in paradise,  build a new house  - with a guest house called Casa Cozumar for rent ... everything seperated from our house -   and have vacation in Germany meeting friends and family.

As a host we try to implement those things that we often missed as a guest ... Feeling welcome from the first second with a glass of wine or beer, just being able to relax on the top roof or patio after a long trip without needing to go shopping for basic things.
